........................A Blog, in honour of Yoko.
I'm from a small town in Northern Ontario. My little family and I have recently packed up our whole life and moved to Canada's capital city.
In mid-2009, I started this blog to post pictures of my Tortoise-shell Tonkinese cat, Yoko. It eventually morphed into a foster blog of all the kittens/cats that I took in through the shelters. Once I became pregnant and had my son in 2011, all fostering came to a halt.
Then just months before our big move, at almost 18 years old, Yoko passed over to rainbow bridge. I was so devastated and lost when she passed away. She was my little baby. She is, and always will be, missed so very much.
Months after our move, things settled down, and I felt very lonely without a feline in the house. So we decided to seek out a kitty. After some searching, I fell in love with a sweet tuxie kitten, who we named Trinity. It was easy to see that she was going to be a perfect mix for our family. Even though young and rambunctious, her eyes are one of an old soul.
[Update! April 25, 2014: We updated a new boy cat and named him Malcolm! He's a 4 year old white n tabby floof mix. He's a big love bug, and a perfect addition to our household!]
Where does the road take me from here? I'm not sure yet! This blog is just about whatever happens. Filled with mostly picture-based stories, I try to post as often as I can about whatever I feel like! I hope you stick around to join me, and I'm sure I'll come to visit you too (especially if you post about cats - heehee) :)
Cheers!
