Getting Caught Up
Picture Day!
Time to catch up on a few things!
Next... My present from Cat from Corner of Cat's Mind!
I guessed (somewhat) correctly on a quiz she held on her blog and she sent me this beautiful gift.
Time to catch up on a few things!
First of all... My kitty-sitting week.
This is Gerry, my Mom's ginger cat. He's a devil.
This puffy tortie is Cleo. She's a sweetcake.
This is Coco, my Uncle's Siamese. She's so gorgeous.
Next... My present from Cat from Corner of Cat's Mind!
I guessed (somewhat) correctly on a quiz she held on her blog and she sent me this beautiful gift.
A kitty notebook, a kitty book mark, and a lovely handmade card!
*sniffsniff* "What have we here?"
"I shall take this, thank you"
"My book mark!"
*bat bat bat*
Thank you again for the lovely gift, Cat!
Last... Some Trinity chins! Yay!
Happy Friday all! :)

Happy Trinity
All smiles all the time.
Always snoozing on her back.
Making buddies with everyone (feat. my Dad).
Happy Canada Day!
It was another busy weekend here. I thought I had taken a bunch of really nice pictures of Trin over the past week, but it seems that only one turned out without blur (the other two are iPad pictures). I've been having trouble with my lens (it's all busted on the inside) so that's why my pictures have been really awful the past few months.
Thanks for the tips on the litter box issue I've been having. I still haven't provided her any more around the house, just to see if it's because she was still just getting used to her new home. Since the curtain incident, she hasn't done it again. Any time I catch her in a basket or under curtains, I pick her up and bring her downstairs into her box. I'm still considering putting a box on the top floor for her though. I don't think it's illness related, because she is actually good about going in the box, and everything that I scoop looks normal. She isn't acting like it's a URI (I've experienced many cats with this problem) or anything like that -- So I'm fairly confident assuming it's just because she's little and has "gotta go when she's gotta go"! ;) I'm going to be taking her in for her spaying soon, so I'll have the doc look at her then. For now, I'm just going to keep an eye on her.
One thing that I will say is that she's plumping up a lot since she got here! When she moved in she was skin and bones, and her fur was mangy and wirey. Now she eats really well, and has really filled out. Her coat is super soft and shiny now, too. :) She seems to take to being spoiled very well ;)
I'll be posting this week about a super nice gift I received from Catherine over at Corner of Cat's Mind, and putting up pictures from my time doing some cat-sitting last week.
For now, I'm off to put up my feet and relax the rest of the long weekend away! :)

Oh my, oh gee...
Everything has a faint aroma of kitten pee!
Sorry there's no pictures today. I've got a whack that I've taken on my phone again - I just have to load them up to the computer. The Nikon has been sitting in the basement all week, so I've been lazy about getting it out for pictures.
But I am here to note that it seems our little Trin is having a lot of "accidents" around the house. We only have the one litter box in the basement (two-story house + the basement), so she finds little places to relieve herself on the two upper floors. The first was my down-duvet, then my cloth grocery bags in the closet, a box with shoes that wasn't unpacked yet, and now on the curtains/carpet in our bedroom. And goodness knows where else. I know the remedy is to add litter boxes on the two upper floors, but... ugh, then I'm dealing with cleaning three litter boxes... plus the added litter around the house and having to find spots for it. The house already has a faint smell of the accidents, but I know it would be a way worse smell if I put litter boxes all over the house.
I know I don't have many readers out there anymore, but for anyone out there, I'd love some suggestions if you have them! It's been 18 years since I had a kitten (that wasn't a foster) that had free reign of the house. I know she's going to eventually grow out of it and manage the one box downstairs -- but for now.. the cleanups are pretty yucky! And of course I don't want Drew to discover them before I do! (double eww!)
I know I said I had no pictures, but I loaded this one (kinda crappy quality) from my phone to Facebook earlier today.

Both having their snacks together on the floor.
They really have a love/hate relationship. One is always bugging the other one, just like kids do. But then they have these moments where you can see they're going to grow up to be the best of friends, and it's sooo cute. :)

Lounging on the windowsill
Today the temperature went up to 44 degrees Celcius (with humidex). Trin has been a sleepy, lazy little girl because of it. So we've been hibernating in the air conditioning and basement all day.
These pictures are from the other day, but she was perched in the exact same spot this evening. :)

An extra extravaganza!
Just a mish-mash of uploaded pictures from my phone to share today.
1. Apologies for so many pictures of yours truly in them. That's what you get with phone pictures. And she just happened to be close to my face at the time :P
2. I don't usually have hot pink finger nails. I went to a wedding this past weekend, which warranted this craziness ;)
3. This is one smiley, lazy, kitten.

These are a few of my favourite things...
Drew's little fuzzy duck is MY favourite toy.
Drew's Elmo bean bag chair is MY favourite place to curl up.
Drew's tupperware bowl is MY favourite water dish.
(*are we seeing a trend here?*) ;)
