Found out some really horrible news over at Love & Hisses today. Poor Corbie suddenly collapsed and passed away yesterday morning.

Going to miss seeing that sweet little face over on Robyn's blog.
Goodbye Corbs ♥ You'll be missed.

Getting MUCH better!

Things are going very smoothly here!
Malcolm has made himself very much at home. He ADORES the boys. He cuddles them constantly, and follows them all around the house. He practically jumped into the bathtub with Drew yesterday.
He and Trinity are working things out. He no longer follows her around howling at her. The two of them have been found sleeping next to each other on the couch, and playing chasing games around the house together. Trin occasionally gives him a swat now and then when he gets too up in her space, but I think with time, that will go away. He's just SUCH a love bug, he just wants to be close to everyone - including her. :)
I'll try to keep things updated on all of them! But so far so good!

Uh oh. Malcolm has the 'urges'.

I introduced Trinity and Malcolm yesterday and things seemed to go pretty smoothly.
We thought that Mal was just being super friendly by happily following Trinity all over the place.
It wasn't until he did. not. give. up. that we realized that there may be some hormones at play.
When I adopted him, they told me that he had just been neutered. And he's 4 years old! (Ugh, some people) So, he's always lived with the typical life of 'being a boy'.
But even though he's had his bits removed, he still acts randy. He meows and meows and meows. He is ALWAYS, and I mean alllllllllways, following her around and getting in her face. Luckily, she hisses or growls at him if he gets too close, and he just backs away. I'm not even sure he knows what he needs to do once he does get close enough to her. He usually just sits RIGHT next to her and STARES at her. Even if she's sleeping! (Like, dude, get a clue, she ain't interested!)
I called my vet, as well at the adoption centre at the humane society, and they both told me that it's common for a male cat to still feel the urges even after being neutered (especially for an older cat). They both reassured me that it would 'likely' go away within a month or so.
Anyone else out there have experience with this? Am I (and Trinity) doomed with a cat that won't stop harassing (and meowing, and having STINKY tomcat urine)?
What should I do?

Meet Malcolm!

We adopted another kitty yesterday! He hasn't been introduced to Trinity yet, since we have him isolated until he settles in a bit. He's a real sweetheart!
Looking to the cat community for tips and advice on what works for you when getting two cats to meet. This is the first time I've done it (since I was a child), since Yoko never liked other cats. I'm nervous! I hope they take to each other okay... :S

Happy 1st Birthday, Trinity!

Wow, it's been a long while since I posted here!
I've got a couple of blogs on the go over on Tumblr now, so I never come to post here anymore. I've kept this place open primarily to post on other Blogger's blogs (even though I do that rarely now too :S However, I STILL read them regularly)

So a quick update since my Christmas post --

On Feb 26th, Andrew turned 2 (!!), and Trinity turned 1. Both of them have grown so much over the past year, it's ridiculous.
And for those of you who were guessing my cryptic posts, you were right! We're expecting babes #2!
I'm due in August. :) Maybe I'll try to get some Trinity/belly pictures posted ;)

In case I don't get around to posting on here in the next while, I can always be found at kyestera.tumblr.com! It's mostly just reblogged cat pictures, but I often post pictures of Trinity, kittens that I used to foster, family cats, and even old pictures of Yoko.
I also have a mommy/personal blog that you can access through that blog on a link, too - Where I do my actual blog posts.
I'll still swing by here every once on a while to say Hi with an update though! :)

Keep blogging!
Cheers,
Kittykye :)

All the stockings were hung by the tree with care...

Mommy's, Daddy's, Andrew's, Trinity's, and....
Wait.... how come there's a 5th stocking there?

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!
Have a happy, healthy New Year! :)

Playing in the blocks

I bought more of these recently. Have come up with some really good mazes for her. I think she likes them more than Drew does!

You going to eat ALL of that?

Food Thief

This cat will eat ANY-THING. Milk, cereal, fruit of any kind, veggies, juice, rice, meat of any kind, and well, you get the picture. Don't turn your back on this one... especially if you've just made yourself a nice lunch.
Here she helps herself to a little snack on a rice crispy square.

No babies for Trin!

Wow, it's been a while since I last posted. The summer is flying by so quickly! We've been doing all kinds of stuff, so it's tough to get posting in. As I've mentioned in the past, if I was able to post from my mobile, I would be doing it way more often!

So, the most important news around here is that Trinity went and got spayed 3 days ago - Yay! She did awesome. Her new veterinarian is amazing. Such a sweet, loving doctor. She took really good care of Trin while she was there. I dropped her off at 8:30am and was able to pick her up at 2:30pm. She was a little groggy when I brought her home, but she was purring right from the moment she saw me (I feel so loved!). She's already back to her regular shenanigans around here -- chasing houseflies, nibbling on toes, and begging for snackin's. :)

Here's some of the pictures from my phone to catch things up!

 Tubular kitten

She's such a lap cat. Finding the funniest ways to curl up.

Bird watching from the cat tree.

Aww, she brought me a present!

"Please! Don't let the cat out, no matter what it tells you!"
Yes. This cat is SO determined to get out of the house, away from this sunny, snuggly spot. /insert sarcasm here.
Actually, Trin has never once bolted for the door. She's quite happy to be inside, thank you very much.

"My" morning bowl of cereal. It first gets shared with Drew, then Trin gets the last couple licks of leftover milk. Not TOO spoiled.

Smiling kitten :)

Hanging out on the edge of the couch. (Note: I spend a lot of time lying on the floor playing :P)

 Wanna see my belly?

Shaved tummy! Healing up very nicely.

Mommy will give you lots of snuggles to make you feel allll better again!

Unfortunately, the doctor also found out that Trin has a small ear infection (as I suspected, as I saw some goopies in her ears when we adopted her). But, she's getting meds everyday, so she should be fine.

Well, I'm off to enjoy the long weekend with friends and family in the 45 degree weather (yikes). Hope everyone has a good one, too! :)

Which is a snugglier bed?

 Mom's soft duvet?

Or the bathroom sink?

You decide!

Chocolate and Vanilla

My favourite flavours of toe-beans!

One vanilla amongst a box of chocolate.

And one chocolate amongst a box of vanilla.

YUM!

Getting Caught Up

Picture Day!

Time to catch up on a few things!

First of all... My kitty-sitting week.

This is Gerry, my Mom's ginger cat. He's a devil.

This puffy tortie is Cleo. She's a sweetcake.

This is Coco, my Uncle's Siamese. She's so gorgeous.

Next... My present from Cat from Corner of Cat's Mind!
I guessed (somewhat) correctly on a quiz she held on her blog and she sent me this beautiful gift.

A kitty notebook, a kitty book mark, and a lovely handmade card!
 *sniffsniff* "What have we here?"
"I shall take this, thank you"
 "My book mark!"
*bat bat bat*

Thank you again for the lovely gift, Cat!

Last... Some Trinity chins! Yay!

 Happy Friday all! :)
